Judge Dowd stepping down

Here is the Topeka Capital-Journal article reporting that District Judge Dowd will be retiring after 30 years on the bench in Shawnee County. Because I don't practice much in district court, I don't have a lot to say about Judge Dowd, although he has seemed like a pretty friendly guy when I have met him in person.
