Jury hangs on main charge in Reno County
Here is a Hutchinson News article reporting that a jury hung on four drug charges, including possession with intent to sell within 1000 feet of a school, only convicting of one count of obstruction. It was State v. McCoy, a Reno County case. Janis Knox, from the public defender office was the defense attorney. Apparently, this trial was moved up several weeks with only a day's notice to the defense (due to proseuctor's speedy trial concerns). So, it is even a more remarkable result!
